The Regent Show is a Huge Success!
There was a packed house on hand for the May 29th Retrospective Concert at The Regent Theatre in Arlington, to see a unique concert concept, featuring Charlie in a solo performance, followed by various accompianists and bands. Members of the popular Beatlejuice backed Charlie for 3 songs, two of which were from his critically-acclaimed 'GreaseTown' CD. Alizon Lissance joined Charlie on accordian for a version of 'Old & Young' that resonated with the audience, and Candy O'Terry joined him for their single ' You Are The Only One', the only independent release to hit the AC radio charts this year.
Charlie's pre-Joe Perry Project band BALLOON rocked the room, and the original FARRENHEIT trio brought down the roof. The show was captured on 8 HD cameras, and a DVD and CD are planned for the end of 2009!

Charlie has teamed up with Minneapolis-based writer, guitarist, singer, and rock star Brynn Arens for a writing, and co-production project - details to follow. Best known as 'The Oddfather of Rock', Brynn was the creator, singer, and guitarist for 'FLIPP' , and also was part of NYCs 'Rattlin Bones', and 'FunHouse'
'Brynn is a fercious guitarist and a real creative guy", explained Charlie - 'I asked him to play some guitar on one of my songs, and the next thing I knew we were working every day . . . wait until you hear some of this stuff!'

“I've had a relationship with BOSE for some time now - beginning with a concert performance in their corporate concert hall in Framingham, MA. "Working with two drummers, Roger and Mike, was great", said Charlie, 'It's quite a testament to these two musicians - stylistically they couldn't be more different, but they were able to lock- in a smoking groove with no run-through and no prep - what a sound!"

The Tupelo Music Hall had a dilema - The January 31 Charlie FARREN show was sold out, and calls for tickets were still coming in! Solution? Take out all the tables and bring in more seats! The Tupelo Music Hall rearranged their layout last weekend, setting up the intimate listening room with theater-style seating to accomodate folks wanting tickets. "At my last Tupelo performance, they had to turn folks away at the door because they were above capacity", Charlie explained. "Nobody wanted that to happen again, so this was a nice last-minute solution and everybody wins"!
Charlie was joined by former BALLOON guitarist, Ken Kalayjian who along with Charlie cowrote two songs from his most recent 'Old & Young' CD. Charlie was also joined by members of the popular 'Beatlejuice' band for portions of the evening

Charlie joined the popular morning drive-time team of Sarah Sullivan and Jim Fronk on the air to perform several songs and take requests. "I met Sarah and Jim when they were hosting a show I played with Dave Mason last summer" , Charlie explained, " We talked about doing this and have kept in touch - live music on the radio is awesome!"
FARRENHEIT rocks Boston's Orpheum Theater
The original Farrenheit trio (Dave Hull - Bass, John Muzzy - Drums, Charlie Farren - Guitar) reunited to perform at the Boston Music Awards show at The Orpheum theater. FARRENHEIT performed a newly-recorded song entitled 'Walk On Water' which is slated to be included in a new FARRENHEIT CD that is currently in production
Charlie performs on MMTV
Charlie joins the cast of the popular TC Restani show on Melrose's MMTV. Charlie will be singing a new song in each episode of the monthy talk-show sendup that has been receiving rave reviews.
"This is a great group of talented and fun folks" said Charlie, "I'm happy to be part of it, and to have a new forum for performing my music!'
Charlie featured in WZID Christmas Show
WZID in Manchester, New Hampshire has announced the linup for this years Christmas show, which is broadcast live from the stage of Manchester's venerable Palace Theater. Joining a cast that includes comics, skits, chorales, and pop acts, Charlie will be performing 'The Christmas Song' and 'I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus' along with a chorale group, string section, horn section and five-piece band.
The sold-out show will also be broadcast live on WZID, and taped for later showings on NH Public Television

Charlie joins a group of talented folks to tape several public service announcements for Ernie Boch's 'Music Drives Us' foundation. Charlie joins a lineup that includes Sully Erna, Lisa Guyer, Ernie Boch, James Montgomery, Brian Mayes, Johnny A, Tunes, and others!
Farren performs live on 'The River'
Charlie joined radio personality Lisa Garvey on her popular Sunday morning radio show - 'Brunch by The River' , performing several songs from his latest recording, and taking requests from callers. Charlie aslo penned and recorded the theme music for Lisa's show.
FMan Media Release two new Charlie Farren CDs
FMan Media released two long awaited CDs, FARRENHEIT Live at The Roxy, recorded September 11, 2003 in Boston, and Charlie Farren Live at Club Passim, recorded September 20, 2003 at the legendary Harvard Square listening room in Cambridge, MA. FARRENHEIT announced two shows to celebrate the releases - June 16th at Tequila's in Danvers, MA, and June 24th at The Sit N Bull in Maynard, MA. FARRENHEIT/Jon Butcher tour a success!
Boston, MA - Charlie Farren reunited with FARRENHEIT (David Hull and John Muzzy), along with long-time friend Jon Butcher, for a series of 6 shows throuhout New England, to raise money and awareness for the Boston Medical Center's 'Children's Witness to Violence' program. "Jon and I have stayed in touch over the years," explains Farren. "He played a great guitar track on 'Copy Love', a song from my new CD, '4 Letter Word'.
When Peter Hackell called Dave Hull to talk about participating in his annual 9/11 benefit concert, one thing lead to another, and before we knew it, JB was on a plane from his home in LA, and FARRENHEIT was back in the rehersal studio!" John Troy, Tom Hambridge's TH and the Wreckage, and The James Montgomery Band also joined FARRENHEIT and Butcher for some of the shows.
FARRENHEIT, who recorded four of the shows, have plans for a live FH CD sometime in late 2003 or early 2004.
Farren Writes and Produces Commercial for Cap World
Cap World, the East Coast retailer of Truck and SUV caps and accessories will begin television spots on FOX NFL, CMT (Country Music Television), and WWF Wrestling for markets on the East Coast USA. The Cap World jingle will air on selected radio stations in these markets as well.

Charlie Farren - BOSTON's Special Guest
Charlie appears on a cut from Boston's new CD, Corporate America released on November 5, 2002. Farren contributes vocals along with other members of Boston to the song 'You Gave Up On Love'. Boston, MA - FMan Media announced the release of the new Charlie Farren CD, World Gone Wild. The new CD features 10 songs written, performed, and produced by Charlie. Songs include Older Girls, Glory, Get A Life, You Are The Only One, SoulMate, Reopened, World Gone Wild, October Moon, Drown Me, and Afraid to Fly Away. "I had asked folks to write with song suggestions", explained Charlie, "I was pleased and surprised at the volume of response . . "

FARREN-Penned Songs on TV - March, 2001 New York, NY - 'Deja Blue', the title song from the acclaimed CD, Deja Blue. .the Color of Love, was recently featured on an episode of the hit daytime program 'One Life to Live'.
Another song from the FARRENHEIT CD, Raise The Roof, 'Sister of Mercy', penned by Farren and songwriting partner David Hull, was also recently heard in a scene in the popular daytime drama 'The Young and the Restless'.

Cambridge, Ma - Charlie Farren announced the release of two FARRENHEIT CDs at his recent sold-out performance at the Harvard Square listening room, Club PASSIM in Cambridge, MA.
FARRENHEIT's 2nd recording, F2 - Raise The Roof features the original trio, Dave Hull, John Muzzy, and Charlie, performing 10 songs that were recorded shortly after returning from eighteen
months of touring. The result is a very 'live'-sounding and powerful collection of original FARRENHIET material.
GreaseTown, the third FARRENHEIT CD, features Philip Bynoe, now with the Steve Vai Band, on Bass - and Igor Khoroshev, now the keyboardist for YES, or piano, organ, and synth, as well as Muzz

Charlie's Passim appearance marks his fourth consecutive sold-out performance at the venue, and featured two hours of song and musings.
